Sydney Rare Book Fair 2015

We are exhibiting at the Sydney Rare Book Fair, Thursday 5th – Saturday 7th November 2015, in the Barnet Long Room, Customs House, Circular Quay, alongside a number of other ANZAAB members. It is sure to be a great event, and we would love to see you there.

Here is our Sydney Rare Book Fair catalogue, a selection of rare books and ephemera focusing on voyages and exploration.

Highlights include first editions of Flinders, Burney and Dupetit-Thouars’ Atlas pittoresque; a deluxe first edition Anson; manuscript letters relating to the explorers Dupetit-Thouars and Dumont d’Urville; a Pratt Ware portrait plaque of Cook, circa 1790; Edge-Partington’s rare limited edition ethnographical album of Australia and the Pacific, dated 1898; colonial Australian topographical photograph albums; nineteenth century children’s books relating to Australia; and a rare copper token issued by Pidcock’s Menagerie in London in 1801, commemorating the birth of a kangaroo.
