A Summer at Port Phillip

From the library of Rollo Hammett, his book label to front pastedown, and signed by him.

One of the earliest published accounts of Melbourne, with discussion of the history of settlement, the failed settlement by Collins, the pastoral farmers, and the local wildlife. The frontispiece is after a sketch by George Alexander Gilbert, and is one of the earliest published works by a Port Phillip artist.
