The ‘White Australia Policy’ was a series of legislative measures aimed at referencing immigration to Australia from white races between 1901 – 1973. In this early and significant series of tracts, Melbourne bookshop owner and social reformer E. W. Cole argues that the policy is both impractical, immoral, and against Christian values.

‘We regret being unable to find room for further extracts from Mr. Cole’s pamphlet, which forcibly shows the utter riciluusness of a ‘White Australia’ in the tropical parts thereof’ – Fitzroy Observer.
