$950.00 AUD

Small quarto album (160 x 210 mm), half-roan over cloth, containing 94 original watercolour designs for gentlemen’s and ladies rings, executed in pen and ink and watercolour, each window mounted in the album (40 x 63 mm each window), some on card and others on tracing paper mounted on card (with four small glue spots), overall very good.

Unique album of watercolours of ring designs by an English jeweller from the 1920s, displaying designs inherited from the pre-war Edwardian era with the influence of art deco modernism, the ladies’ rings largely set with cut diamonds and the gentlemen’s rings in flat panelled gold.
