This book documents the major works of German experimental artist Joseph Beuys, made in collaboration with the Galerie René Block in Berlin. The Galerie had closed down on 15 September 1979, after 15 years of operation. On its closing, Joseph Beuys staged a monumental show in which he had the plaster beaten from the walls of the Galerie and packed into 22 wooden boxes. In this commemorative book, this action and the most important works of Beuys during his fifteen-year collaboration with the Galerie are chronologically recorded.
