Jones was Professor of Anatomy at the University of Melbourne, and this publication of three broadcast talks focuses on the physiology of Australian Aborigines, as well as providing a discussion of their origins through comparative genetic and cultural studies. The plates are reminiscent of the late nineteenth century fascination for anthropometrics.
