Duodecimo, later full calf with gilt lettered contrasting leather title labels to spine, original wrappers bound in (the lower wrapper with engraved illustration), pp 240, [18] leaves of plates including natives of New Holland, Sandwich Islands (Hawaii) and Otaheite, and Norh, South and Central America; internally very clean, a good copy. Text in French.

A work for children which includes sections on Notasia (Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Timor etc.), Australasia (New Holland, New Guinea, New Britain, New Ireland, Solomons, New Hebrides, New Caledonia, New Zealand), and Polynesia (Marianas, Carolines, Pelew Islands, Sandwich Islands, Society Islands, the Marquesas, the Friendly Islands and Easter Island). Note that Micronesia is described as part of Polynesia, and that New Zealand is treated in the section devoted to Australasia.

A single copy is recorded in Australian collections (State Library of New South Wales); appears unrecorded in New Zealand libraries.
