Canberra, ACT : Campus community Broadcasting Association, 1981. Quarto (280 x 205 mm), stapled pictorial wrappers, pp. 32, plus text on inner covers; illustrated; a very good copy.

The official magazine of Canberra’s community radio station 2XX, dating to the height of the Australian post-punk era. Contains in-depth pieces on the now legendary Brisbane band The Go-Betweens and English band Gang of Four; a rundown of the Melbourne live music scene 1978-80 by Steve Saunders; an article on the recent 4ZZZ (Brisbane) obscenity and censorship case, and another on potential hearing loss caused by incredibly loud PA systems at local gigs; and ads for gigs featuring Canberra bands Cough Cough (Cathy Green of X’s first band) and Young Docteurs. Also includes programme listings and alternative music charts (top four albums: Joy Division; Birthday Party; Madness; Laughing Clowns).

According to Trove, NLA does not hold any issues prior to 1987.
