Folio (420 x 290 mm), original blind embossed green cloth over boards with gilt lettering and pictorial device to upper board showing a scene on the Australian gold diggings incorporating a kangaroo and emu coat of arms and ‘Advance Australia’ banner (boards rubbed and with mild staining, but the gilt still bright); title leaf, with index to engravings on the verso, is present but detached; bound in at the front are two oblong folio engravings of the Great Exhbition of the Industry of All Nations at the Crystal Palace, issued as Supplements (light foxing and a few tears at edges of the folds); the bound issues with frequent short tears at fore-edges and light spotting, otherwise the contents appear complete and in reasonably good order;
