Holland-Krakatau was a charity publication to raise funds for the many thousands of families in the Dutch East Indies affected by the major eruption of Krakatoa on 27 August 1883. It was a collaborative effort by Dutch literary figures, artists and musicians, under the co-editorship of Johannes Bosboom (visual arts) and Jan ten Brink (literature). The “magazine” contains work by writers such as Nicolaas Beets, Truitje Bosboom-Toussaint, Bernard ter Haar, François Haverschmidt, Conrad Busken Huet, J.J.L. ten Kate, Johannes Kneppelhout and Justus van Maurik, as well as many illustrations of contemporary artworks and several musical compositions.

Two copies traced in Australian libraries (NLA; SLNSW).
