An otherwise unrecorded short story about bushranging. ‘Mundy was an officer in the British Army who came to Australia in 1846 as deputy adjutant-general of the military forces in Australia. He left in 1851 after accompanying Governor FitzRoy in several journeys into outback New South Wales and visiting Victoria, Van Diemen’s Land and New Zealand. In 1852 he published Our Antipodes.’ (AustLit)
