Three albumen print photographs, 150 x 200 mm, unmounted; all blind stamped bottom left ‘Kerry & Co. Photo 308 George Street Sydney’, and all with  captions, studio name and Kerry’s sequence numbers 717, 735 and 782 in manuscript in the negative; one of the versos has a fully contemporary inscription in pencil ‘Jenolan Caves, Western Line’; some mild corner wear, but otherwise the three prints are in very good condition, with excellent contrast and tonal range.

Sydney photographer Charles Kerry (1857-1928) documented the Jenolan Caves on more than one occasion during the 1890s, and he had also photographed the them prior to 1890 when he was still in partnership with C. D. Jones. These three views of the Helena, Arch and Imperial Caves were probably taken at some point in the first half of the 1890s.
