The first is an Isagoge (introduction) to the Bible by Ambrosius Reuden (or Reudenius) (1543-1615). (Isagogics is a branch of theology that is preliminary to exegesis and is concerned with the literary and external history of the Bible). The second is a detailed study of the Book of Daniel, by Salomon Gesner (1559-1605).
