J. Hilder held at the Society of Artists’ Room, Sydney 14th, 1916 listing 205 works with the names of their owners. Limited to 500 copies, a very good copy.

Noteworthy as the first Australian art book to employ colour printing for the reproductions, J. J. Hilder water-colourist was published as a memorial to the painter with the net profits of this book were given to Mrs J. J. Hilder.

A duplicate plate of the watercolour ‘Grey-Gold, Dora Creek’, listed as in the possession of Sir Baldwin Spencer, is loosely inserted, a nice display of ownership provenance.
