Dedicated to Lieutenant-General Sir John Monash, this survey of the contribution and sacrifice made by Jewish Australians during WWI contains a portrait list of the soldiers who died on active service, a general nominal roll of soldiers who served (including those with the New Zealand armed forces), and a roll of those who received honours and decorations. There are also sections on Australian Jewish chaplains and Jewish activities abroad, notably in Paris, London and on Salisbury Plain. The author was the Australian Y.M.C.A. Jewish Representative with the A.I.F.
