The first edition of this work, the second part only, containing amongst other exotic animals, an early illustrated two page description of ‘The Kanguroo’, the engraving after Stubbs.

‘The Kanguroos have been bred in this country, and seem likely to become naturalised to the climate. Their flesh is good to eat, but it is rather coarse’. 

No example of the 1803 edition is held in Australian collections, with the 1822 edition held in the SLSA.
