Life in the Temple 1937. (Original etching plate)
Norman Lindsay’s original hand-worked copper plate for the etching Life in the Temple, measuring 304 x 355 mm, created in 1937.
A couple of small spots of oxidisation and some faint scratches, but uncancelled, and in very good condition. The etching was printed in an edition of 35 copies, and is based on an earlier watercolour of 1923. Unique Norman Lindsay etching plates are rare in the market, and even more so when not cancelled.
