LESOT, A; BRICOT, J
Paris : J. Bricot & A. Lesot, circa 1910. Lithographed map, printed in colour, 990 x 1295 mm (sheet), dissected and laid on linen, showing the colonial possessions of France, Germany, Great Britain, the United States and the Netherlands, inset maps of New Caledonia, the Marquesas Islands, the Society Islands and French Polynesia, inset views of Java, Takakoto, and coral atolls, a very good example.
One of a series of wall maps of the continents, title at head: Tableaux-cartes Toutey. Due to the fact that Germany’s colonies are marked we date this map to before WWI, probably around 1910.
Scarce. The National Library of Australia and State Library of New South Wales both hold another example with the variant imprint of Lesot seulement.
