Oblong quarto, original pictorial wraps, rivet bound, 18 leaves, with a series of tipped-in colour and monochrome illustrations on the left hand pages and roneo printed facing pages; housed in original envelope with artist’s skull-and-cross-bone design stamped to front; in pristine condition.
Carsten Regild was a Swedish artist active from the 1960s to 1990s. He worked in drawing, collage, painting, film and music. His work reflects the influences of pop art, surrealism and dadaism. Regild had numerous solo exhibitions, of which Nekropolis, staged at the Moderna Museet (Museum of Modern Art) in Stockholm in 1972, was one of his more famous. He also contributed to numerous group shows, both in Sweden and abroad. In 2006 a major retrospective of Regild’s work was staged at the Konstakademien, Stockholm
