Quarto, illustrated mauve boards with green linen spine in dustjacket (fine), 56 plates (36 tipped-in, colour), slight offsetting as usual, previous owner’s bookplate on front pastedown, the frontispiece plate slightly crumpled on one corner. Limited to 1500 copies. Includes an introduction by Julian Ashton, an essay on Streeton’s Australian work by Lionel Lindsay, and an essay on Streeton’s English paintings by P.G. Konody. A very good copy.

Provenance : Melbourne bookseller Doris Eddy, her name inscribed in pencil to endpaper, the original purchase receipt from Seward’s, dated 1963 loosely enclosed.
