Printed in an edition of 300 copies plus 10 copies on vellum.

An unbound set of sheets for the second book published by The Doves Press, one of the most significant presses of the Arts & Crafts movement. Cobden-Sanderson’s essay is a tribute to the art of the book, the aesthetic combination of fine typography, text and illustration arriving at what he describes as The Book Beautiful.
