Oblong folio, full calf, spine in compartments with contrasting gilt-lettered labels to spine, housed in a linen slipcase, unpaginated, illustrated throughout with 33 plates enhanced by original watercolour colouring by the artist, loose photolithograph. Limited to 50 copies signed and numbered by the artist, a standard edition of 200 copies also published.
‘Trevor Weekes was born in Orange, NSW and currently teaches at the University of Newcastle. In 1999 he was awarded his PhD from Newcastle University after gaining his Masters of Fine Art from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales in 1994. Weekes has had forty solo exhibitions and exhibited in numerous group exhibitions since 1979, including a group exhibition at Cessnock Regional Art Gallery, NSW in 2013. His work is extensively represented in public collections, including Artbank; College of Fine Arts; Hamilton Regional Gallery; Macquarie University; Newcastle Region Art Gallery; New England Regional Art Museum; National Gallery of Australia; The Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences (Powerhouse); Wagga Wagga Art Gallery; as well as in private collections in the USA, Britain, Spain and Australia. Weekes is regularly selected for major national prizes and in 2010 his entries were chosen as finalists in the Kedumba Drawing Award and the Rick Amor Drawing Prize.
