Autograph letter by Amy Lambert, sent from her London residence 42 Peel Street, Notting Hill, dated 14 September 1947, 2 pp., quarto, addressed to a friend ‘Hedy’ and concerning Amy’s attendance at the funeral of a mutual acquaintance with her relative Dulcie (Stainton) (fine).

Australian artist George Washington Lambert (1873-1930) married Amelia Beatrice ‘Amy’ Absell (1872-1963), a retoucher, on 4 September 1900 at St Thomas Church, North Sydney, just two days before the couple left for England.
