VICTORIA. DEPT. OF CROWN LANDS & SURVEY; THE TOURISTS' RESORTS COMMITTEE
Tourist map of the Grampians, Halls Gap and surroundings
Photo-lithographed at the Department of Lands and Survey, Melbourne. Melbourne : H. J. Green, Government Printer, [circa 1925]. Colour map, 660 x 430 mm, folding to 230 x 110 mm, identical front and rear panels with illustration of Bellfield Peak and title Tourists’ Map of the Grampians Victoria, compiled by the Tourists’ Resorts Committee; the map has a couple of tiny marks and a few insignificant nicks at the edges of the folds, but is otherwise a fine example of a most attractive Western District tourist map.
Herbert John Green was the Government printer from July 1924 to July 1939; the graphic design work on the outer panels suggests a publication date towards the beginning of that period.
