Arthur Phillip. Private letters 1787 – 1796

Ten proof copies of the text on plain stock have been deposited with Australian libraries.’ (colophon). This is copy lettered ‘I’.

One of the copies deposited with Australian libraries has a pasted-in slip which states ‘This is a photocopy of one of twenty books printed at The Colony Press in November 2017 for private distribution’ (Trove). According to bookseller Peter Arnold, this is only one of 10 copies printed from the projected edition of 25, aside from the proof copies (or photocopies) distributed as references for libraries.

Of the ten copies distributed to Australian libraries, four appear on Trove.
