Ninth-plate daguerreotype with applied colour, 55 x 40 mm (sight); in an arch-top brass mat (scattered mould spiders), housed in a plain leather case with working clasp; the daguerreotype is in good condition, the case is a little scuffed; accompanied by an old Christie’s, Melbourne auction house label from October 1998.
