Art in Australia : a quarterly magazine. Third series, number 29, September 1929. Deluxe edition. Quarto, papered boards with title label (foxed), lettered by hand along spine, numerous tipped-in colour and black and white plates, The deluxe edition, limited to 35 copies, 25 of which were offered for sale. The printed limitation statement declares that ‘Each copy contains an original coloured woodcut by Adrian Feint which was designed for this edition and will not appear elsewhere’. The woodcut is a vibrantly coloured abstract still life by Feint, limited to 35 copies, signed and numbered. On the page before is the printed caption ‘Coloured woodcut by Margaret Preston’ with a reproduction of a colour woodcut by the artist. The contents leaf also states a Preston woodcut is included, which it is not. Presumably the publisher was unable to supply the Preston artworks.

A very scarce issue of Art in Australia with a magnificent original Adrian Feint.
