Paris : printed by Jacques Murray at the Stramur-presse, 1951. Small folio, colour printed paper portfolio (short split to one corner)in original card slipcase (slightly scuffed), housing ten sections containing Kershaw’s poems, etched from the manuscript by Murray, illustrated by eight large full page, double page or folding etchings and aquatints by David Strachan complemented by numerous vignette and title etchings by the artist, occasional foxing to margins. Limited to fifty copies signed by the author, artist and printer, plus fifteen hors commerce copies. A magnificent and rare book in the true French livre d’artiste manner, by Australian expatriates, artist David Strachan and poet Alister Kershaw. Kershaw was an active member of the Angry Penguins circle in Melbourne. The name Stramur-presse is a play on the names Strachan and Murray.
