[UK or Australia : s.n., 1855-59]. Quarter-plate daguerreotype with applied colour, 90 x 66 mm (sight), in an oval brass mat, housed in a half case with embossed floral design; the daguerreotype has a slight tarnish halo, and some tiny mould spiders beneath the cover glass, but is otherwise in very good condition – an arresting image.
