Sixth-plate daguerreotype, 70 x 59 mm (sight), in a nonpareil brass mat, housed in a leather case with embossed floral design, with a working brass clasp; the daguerreotype has a very slight tarnish halo at lower edge, but is otherwise in fine condition; the case – which is type Berg 5-112 Floral (s) – has only light wear.
