Four lectures delivered in substance to the Brahmos in Bombay and Poona, in April and July 1875

Octavo, lettered wrappers (stained and worn, corner clipped), contemporary owner’s name of D. P. Ford to upper wrapper and title leaf, dated Philadelphia 1878, corners creased, a few pen annotations, internally clean. Preface by Luke Rivington, M. A., Society of S. John the Evangelist. The author was born a Brahman Mahratta, and after a Hindu education in Benares (Varanasi) later converted to Christianity and became a Clergyman of the Church of England.
