AUSTIN, G. Brougham

Pen & ink sketches at Lorne

$275.00 AUD

Sold in aid of the building fund, Church of England, Lorne. Melbourne: Fergusson & Mitchell, n.d. [c. 1890]. Quarto, chromolithographed cream card wrappers (split along spine), 24pp. with twelve lithographed plates of wood-engravings by F. A. Sleap and J. Macfarlane, each with lithographed text, signed at the end D. M. [Donald Macdonald].

Scarce illustrated Victorian local history publication, a copy of which was given to Rudyard Kipling while visiting Lorne, as documented by Ferguson. A very good copy.
