Scarce first edition of this account of the persecution, arrest, imprisonment and execution of the Jesuit missionaries Antonio Jose Henriques, a Portuguese, and Tristano Francesco de Attimis, an Italian, at Suzhou (Sou-tcheou) in the Jiangnan (Kiang-nan) region of China, during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor. Another edition was printed in Manila in the same year.
