T. D. Webb & Son were active at their studio in St. John’s Street, Launceston in 1867-70. However, “& Son” does not feature in Webb’s manuscript back mark here, which leads us to suspect that this beautiful portrait of a mother and her early adolescent boy would have been taken right at the beginning of this period.
