Manchester : Blond & Briggs, 1971. First edition. Octavo trade paperback, 274, [1] pp, with illustrations by Felix Topolski; wrappers lightly rubbed, internally very clean and sound; a significant association copy, with the ex libris of Felix Dennis (1947 -2014), editor of London Oz, publisher and later media tycoon, to the inside of the front wrapper.

Very contemporary account (Palmer’s book was published in August 1971) of the obscenity trial against Oz magazine which lasted six weeks in June and July 1971. At the time it was the longest obscenity trial in British history. Editors Felix Dennis, Richard Neville, and Jim Anderson were convicted for obscenity, after an issue in 1971 depicted Rupert Bear with a penis.
