Octavo, gilt-lettered cloth in illustrated dustjacket, 75 pp, illustrated, a fine copy which may have slight edge wear or a couple of very small spots of foxing from being in storage since publication.
The first book published by Kenneth Hince’s Mast Gully Press, being an English translation of Swiss-Australian Robert de Castella’s Notes d’un vigneron Australien published to promote Victorian wines at the Bordeaux Wine Exhibition of 1882. The exhibition was highly successful, with many Victorian wines holding up to their European counterparts and winning medals on the world stage.
