Born March 24 1919, Ferlinghetti was one of the most significant figures of the Beat generation of writers. A poet, painter, and socialist activist, he was also co-founder of the legendary City Lights Bookstore and publishing house. Unfair arguments with existence was his first published foray into the world of theatre, and it contains seven plays embodying his vision for “A New Theatre”.
