The Eric Thake Picture Book (deluxe edition, signed with original photograph)

Melbourne : Gryphon Books, 1978. Quarto, gilt-lettered full morocco in illustrated dustjacket (toned, small chips), unpaginated, contains numerous plates reproducing Thake’s linocuts. Limited to 1000 copies. This is one of 20 special copies with a pasted on slip to the colophon ‘Nos. 1L – 20L are bound in full leather and contain 5 loose plates and are signed by the artist and author’. This copy is number 1L, signed by both Eric Thake and Elizabeth Summons, it does not contain 5 loose plates, however tipped on to the verso of the front free endpaper is an original photograph of publisher Richard Griffin, taken in his Mathoura Road apartment, his publications on a side table and Eric Thake linocuts on the wall.
