Are all products that are listed online available for purchase?
Please check individual item listings for availability. We endeavour to provide up to date availability information on our website, however as we have an open shop books can sell. Please wait to receive confirmation from us regarding any orders. Payments will not be processed until orders have been confirmed.
Can I cancel or amend my order?
Yes. Please contact us directly and we will be happy to assist you. Please note that once an invoice has been paid or a receipt is issued, any changes or cancellations are subject to our return policy.
Are my details safe when ordering online?
Yes. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information regarding the safety of personal information.
Can I pick up my purchase in store?
Yes. Our shop is open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 11am to 4pm Saturday (Closed Sundays and public holidays).
Is it possible to view items prior to purchase?
Yes. Please contact us to reserve an item so it remains available to view. It’s best to contact us to make an appointment so we can ensure the item you wish to view is at hand.
Can express delivery be arranged?
Yes. Please contact us to organise an express or courier delivery (additional charges apply).
Payment
Do I have to pay via credit card?
No. We accept a range of payment methods including bank transfer, cheque, and Paypal. Please contact us if you wish to arrange payment via another method.
What credit/debit cards do you accept?
We accept Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. Credit card sales processed in store will be in Australian Dollars.
Do your prices include GST?
All prices include GST.
Is it possible to pay in other currencies?
Yes. We accept payment via cheque and bank transfer in Australian Dollars, US Dollars, Euros, and Pounds Sterling. Bank details provided on request. Our online payment system allows for international card payments in Australian Dollars.
Our Store
Do you have a storefront?
Yes. We are located at 720 High Street Armadale, Melbourne, VIC, Australia. We are open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 11am to 4pm Saturday (Closed Sundays and public holidays).
Do you buy books?
Yes. We are always interested in purchasing significant books, manuscripts, photographs, ephemera, art works, cartography, and other historical items. Please contact us via email at info@douglasstewart.com.au with details and photographs of the item. Douglas Stewart Fine Books Pty Ltd is a registered secondhand dealer in the state of Victoria.
Do you sell books on consignment?
We occasionally handle valuable material on consignment. Please contact us with details of items if you wish to consign books to us.

Yes, all items are guaranteed. Please refer to our terms and conditions for details.
Do you sell to members of the trade?
Yes, and normal trade courtesies will be extended.
