# 46900
KERRY, Charles (1857-1928)
Bundjalung family at Lawrence, near Maclean on the Clarence River, New South Wales, c.1905.
$250.00 AUD
Sepia-tone gelatin silver print photograph printed on postcard stock, 85 x 136 mm; hand-written caption and imprint in the negative: ‘Aboriginal Camp, Lawrence / Kerry 3411’; verso with Kodak Austral box, uninscribed and not mailed; the image has excellent clarity; fine condition.
One of Charles Kerry’s lesser-known photographs of Aboriginal people, but a particularly valuable one for Clarence Valley researchers since the caption provides a precise location (unlike so many Kerry photographs with generic subjects).
Trove locates no examples in Australian institutional collections.
