With original hand colour, in fine condition, one sheet with a paper reinforcement verso to the margin. This fine and large set of maps of the world charts the three voyages of Cook, and is a German edition of Roberts’ map (see Beddie 509 and Tooley 331) first published in the official account of the third voyage in 1784. With period elegance this fine chart illustrates just how far Cook’s circumnavigations explored.
