This grammar of the language of the Ngarrindjeri people of the region around Lakes Alexandrina, Albert and Coorong was first separately issued in 1878; it was then reprinted in 1879 as an addendum to Taplin’s Folklore, Manners, Customs; and following Taplin’s death, it was printed again in 1880 with different title page (referring to the author as ‘the late Rev. G. Taplin’) and printing details (Spiller, rather than Cox).
