Thick octavo (190 x 130 mm), green textured cloth with pictorial onlay to front (boards only lightly rubbed, spine ends a little softened), front free-endpaper with gift inscription dated 1942, pp [1 publisher’s advertisement], 304 + [16 advertisements], illustrated with a b/w frontispiece (loss at top corner) and 7 b/w plates; scattered foxing, edges with spotting.
