‘Lesbians Unlimited was established at the end of 1989 to provide a legally constituted and incorporated body for the organisation of the Melbourne Lesbian Festival in 1990. It continued meeting after the Festival to negotiate the disbursement of monies to other lesbian events. Before dissolving, it organised a campaign titled ‘Focus on the Centre’ to raise funds to establish a Lesbian Centre in Melbourne.’ (University of Melbourne Archives)
