[=Arrival in and first impressions of New Guinea]. Palmer, Iowa : Missions-Hilfsverein, 1923. Series: Die offene Tür in Neu-Guinea, Nummer 2. Written by German Lutheran missionary Christian Keysser, a member of the Neuendettelsau Mission and brother-in-law of South Australian missionary Carl Strehlow, this rare pamphlet was printed by the Lutherans in Iowa with the aim of encouraging more American Lutherans to join the missions already established in former German New Guinea – particularly in the Markham Valley and Huon Gulf regions. The cover illustration shows Keysser greeting the first American missionary sisters to arrive.
Trove locates only one copy (NLA).
