[=Sana, the last Wasa chief]. Palmer, Iowa : Missions-Hilfsverein, 1923. Series: Die offene Tür in Neu-Guinea, Nummer 5. Octavo (222 x 145 mm), publisher’s pictorial wrappers (a little sunned at edges), stapled; pp 28, with several full-page photographic illustrations (including a portrait of Pastor Johann Flierl), lower wrapper with map; text in German, in Fraktur; a near fine copy.

Written by German Lutheran missionary Christian Keysser, a member of the Neuendettelsau Mission and brother-in-law of South Australian missionary Carl Strehlow, this rare pamphlet was printed by the Lutherans in Iowa with the aim of encouraging more American Lutherans to join the missions already established in former German New Guinea – particularly in the Markham Valley and Huon Gulf regions.

OCLC locates only two copies (both in German libraries); no copy traced in Australian collections.
