Oblong octavo (160 x 230 mm), bound in grey bookcloth with highly abstracted title in a light grey across spine and front and back boards; paste paper dustjacket; 106 unnumbered pages, poem by Mohsen Soltany Zand, colour illustrations, in slip case made from two pieces of grey cardboard designed to appear like a posted parcel, with a white address label directing the book To whom it may concern / Australian Immigration Dept / Visa Applications / Canberra ACT 2600.”; it also has a dangerous goods/aviation security declaration with an illegible signature, and two stamps: “Asylum sought” and “Visa denied”.
“Our Home was first made as a painted book. The original painted pages have been digitalized for this edition … [which] has been printed on Mohawk Superfine paper at Print and Distribution Services, University of Wollongong and hand bound by Monica Oppen at Ant Press.” (Colophon).
