Folding map, lithograph printed in colour, on linen backing, 870 x 580 mm, in very good condition; folding into cloth-backed papered boards (as issued?), 215 x 130 mm (lightly marked).

An early edition – possibly the first? – of what was a very practical and popular Robinson map that was still being produced in the early post-war period. According to the catalogue entry for the 1937 AIATSIS copy on Trove, the first two digits in the publisher’s copyright code indicate the year of copyright when reversed, i.e. 732042 = [19]37; which would date our copy, with code 621142, to 1926.
