A rhyme on each facing page to accompany Mabel Corrigan’s marvellous illustrations of anthropomorphised insects, which include cockroaches, cicadas, ladybirds, silverfish, grasshoppers, grubs, beetles, caterpillars, bees and ants. Original works by Corrigan *1898 – 1983) are held in the National Library of Australia.
