Three sepia tone gelatin silver photographs, each 70 x 90 mm, printed on Kodak postcard stock (89 x 138 mm), all mailed from Melbourne and addressed to Master Norman Hart in Launceston, Tasmania (postmarks dated 28 June 1904; 19 September 1904; 14 November 1904), the fronts with handwritten messages signed W. H. (William Hart?) which refer to the Wesley College photographs, one stating that they were possibly taken by “one of the boys”; the three photographic postcards are in fine condition.

In 1904 the Wesley College Australian Rules Football team were champions of the Victorian public schools competition. In July that year they travelled to Sydney and played an exhibition match against North Shore – the strongest Sydney team of that era – in which they were only narrowly beaten.
